Reviews of Paddy Freeman S Park

In order to properly appreciate everything the park has to offer, you would need to be physically fit. There is reasonable access and there are paths suitable for wheelchairs as well as steep steps.

Paddy Freeman's Park is one of several parks that make up Desmond Dene and is situated in the North East of Newcastle City Centre. We live in Heaton and often walk through the scenic parks which include Heaton Park, Armstrong Park and Paddy Freeman's Park. This park has great paths around the boating lake and playing fields. There is an inclusive playground for younger visitors and two accessible picnic benches, suitable for wheelchairs. It is also extremely close to the famous Freeman's Hospital which can make parking difficult during visiting hours.

Tremendous view down the steep valley, full of mature trees and with a great waterfall, clearly visible from the edge of the Freeman Road end of the park.

The area seemed very popular with walkers and others just taking the air on a lovely morning. I will certainly return and would recommend it to all comes.

It's good picnic spot and jogging area. Big gardens including kids play area, a tiny bird park. A lot to enjoy

Great dog walking area it can take you right through to heaton park if your up to it. Also great for kids with plenty of activities on hand. The park also benefits from a man made lake which you can see model boats sailing. Thers also tennis courts and a small coffee shop all in all a nice place to visit

Fantastic park. Boating lake, play park, ice cream, playing fields. Plenty to do if you venture down into jesmond dene and paddy Freeman's. Really good for children and like minded people. Also a bowls club and tennis court. The tennis courts were once free. Not sure now.
